1n 1983, a group of parents realized a need for programming following high school for their children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. They wanted an experience similar to that of their typical children who were going to college. With this thought, The Enrichment Center opened as an arts –oriented day program and became incorporated in 1984. The program began with only 3 students, and some very determined parents. Today, they serve over 400 individuals!

Dr. Michael Berglass grew up in New York City and graduated the School of Dentistry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1996. He did a one year residency at the North Shore University Hospital in 1997 and a one year Implant fellowship in 1998. He had a private practice on Long Island, NY, from 1998-2006. He moved to Charlotte, NC, and bought a practice in Oakboro in 2006 and started a practice in Charlotte in 2011. In his spare time, he is an avid collector of Rock and Roll memorabilia and has placed many of his unique items throughout his offices.
