The Rhino has a long tradition of providing news in Guilford County. The original Rhinoceros Times, founded in 1991, went out of business in May 2013. Snap Publications revived the herbivorous beast and, in October 2013, the all new and improved Rhino Times was started to fill the void left by the demise of The Rhinoceros Times. The Rhino Times is one of Greensboro’s most trusted, revered, and loved local newspapers. They publish their news, opinion pieces, and community events weekly to residents of Greensboro, Asheboro, Burlington in print weekly. They needed an update to their website that would allow the writers, editors, and community a way to engage with each other, as well as the ability to share and read articles via mobile devices. We put together a custom theme and design which allowed the writers to have dedicated pages for each column in the paper. As well as the ability for the newspaper to sell digital ad space to surrounding businesses.
